We collect only data necessary for documented education, engagement, compliance, or service purposes, and explain what is collected and why, who may receive it, and how long it is retained.

Mobile information & SMS

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are used only to send messages you requested (or that a participating campaign described at opt-in), to process STOP/HELP, and with messaging providers (such as Twilio) that deliver those texts under contracts that protect the data. Consent is not a condition of using WhyIVote.ai or of voting.

Candidate-specific text programs publish a public opt-in URL (no login) plus privacy and terms on that candidate's profile. See the campaign text-alerts index.

Separate consent is maintained for:

We do not sell identifiable voter interaction data. Political opinions, issue preferences, and similar data are treated as high-risk. Public voter-file data, campaign-provided data, and WhyIVote.ai interaction data are kept separate.
