Why I'm Running
With working families struggling, neighborhoods facing skyrocketing costs of living, and the urgent need for cleaner, safer streets, New York must take immediate and bold action to build affordable housing, invest in environmental resilience, improve mass transit, and support our local communities. Joyce has dedicated herself to serving and uplifting this district, and she knows firsthand the hard work required to build a cleaner, greener, and stronger Brooklyn for everyone. She has seen our diverse neighborhoods come together to make real change, and she has the grassroots experience as a District Leader to make that power work for us in the State Assembly. We have the power to transform our state into a place where your zip code doesn’t impact your ability to access a good education, clean air, or a job with a living wage.
She is running to ensure every resident in Assembly District 49 has a voice and the opportunity to thrive — keeping Brooklyn neighborhoods affordable, safe, and inclusive while fighting for seniors, schools, immigrant families, and small businesses.
