By using the Joyce Xiaoqiong Xie pages on WhyIVote.ai or opting in to the Joyce Xie Campaign SMS program, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the SMS opt-in form.

1. Nature of the service

WhyIVote.ai provides voter education tools and hosts candidate profile pages. The Joyce Xie Campaign text program sends political campaign messages about New York State Assembly · District 49 — Bensonhurst, Dyker Heights, Sunset Park, Borough Park. Content on candidate pages may include publicly sourced material and campaign-provided material; it is not official government information. Always confirm voting procedures with your local election authority or vote.gov.

2. SMS program

We send SMS only after you provide express consent (for example by checking the box on the SMS Consent form). Accepting these Terms alone is not SMS consent.

  • Message frequency varies. You may receive a few texts per month, and more often near events or Election Day (typically fewer than 10 messages per month).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or email sms@whyivote.ai.
  • Consent is not a condition of voting, donating, or receiving other services.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message types may include: Campaign news and policy updates from Joyce Xie; Event invitations and volunteer opportunities in Assembly District 49; Election-day and early-voting reminders (GOTV); Occasional fundraising or donation links when you have opted in to campaign texts.

After STOP we may send one confirmation text. You must opt in again to restart messages.

3. Eligibility and acceptable use

You represent that you are the authorized user of the mobile number you provide, or have authority to enroll it. Provide accurate information. Do not use the site or SMS program for unlawful harassment, impersonation, spam, or interference with elections infrastructure.

4. Political communications

Texts may constitute political advertising or campaign communications under applicable law. Paid for by / authorized by disclosures may appear in messages or on linked pages as required. Donations, if linked, are processed by third-party platforms (for example ActBlue) under their own terms.

5. Disclaimer

Information is provided for civic education and campaign engagement and may be incomplete or change. WhyIVote.ai and the campaign are not liable for decisions you make based on site content or for carrier delivery failures, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the SMS program after changes means you accept the updated Terms for future messages. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
