This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used when you visit the Dr. Larry He pages on WhyIVote.ai, opt in to the Larry He Campaign text program, or otherwise interact with campaign messaging supported on this site.

Mobile information — Twilio / carrier requirement

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent records are used only to send you the messages described at opt-in, to honor opt-outs, to provide support, and to meet legal and carrier compliance obligations. Messaging service providers (such as Twilio) that deliver texts act as processors and must protect the data; they do not receive your number for their own marketing.

2. Information we collect

  • Inbound SMS keywords (e.g. STOP, HELP) and delivery/status logs from our messaging provider
  • Basic technical data needed to operate the website (security logs, analytics)

3. How we use it

  • Campaign news and policy updates from Larry He
  • Event invitations and volunteer opportunities in Senate District 17
  • Election-day and early-voting reminders (GOTV)
  • Occasional fundraising or donation links when you have opted in to campaign texts
  • Process HELP and STOP requests and maintain suppression lists
  • Prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with TCPA, carrier, and election-law requirements

Message frequency varies. You may receive a few texts per month, and more often near events or Election Day (typically fewer than 10 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help operate the website and SMS program (hosting, databases, analytics, and messaging/connectivity providers such as Twilio), under contracts that limit use to providing those services. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent data with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Retention and security

Opt-in and opt-out records are retained as long as needed to prove consent, honor suppressions, and meet legal/carrier requirements (often for the duration of the campaign cycle and a reasonable period afterward). We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards; no internet transmission is perfectly secure.

6. Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any campaign text to opt out of SMS
  • Reply HELP or email sms@whyivote.ai for assistance
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your opt-in record where applicable by contacting the email above or WhyIVote contact

Consent to SMS is not required to vote, donate, or use other WhyIVote features.

7. Children

This program is intended for adults who are eligible to engage in political communications. We do not knowingly collect SMS opt-ins from children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page will change when we do. Material changes to SMS practices will be reflected on the SMS Consent page.
