How opt-in works

  1. Open the public opt-in page (/candidates/minjia_yan/text-alerts) — no account or login.
  2. Enter your mobile number on that page (or on the candidate profile).
  3. Optionally check the consent box (it is not pre-checked). You can tap Sign Me Up with or without checking it.
  4. Tap Sign Me Up. We store your number, timestamp, page URL, and the disclosure shown on the form.
  5. You may receive a welcome/confirmation text. Reply STOP anytime to end messages.

Alternative opt-in methods the campaign may also use (when clearly disclosed): keyword text-to-join, paper signup sheets, or verbal consent at events with a confirmation text.
