Minjia Yan
Clark County Commission
About Minjia
Minjia Yan (also known as Minja) is the Democratic nominee for Clark County Commission District F in Nevada. A Las Vegas–raised UNLV graduate and former adjunct professor, she won the June 9, 2026 Democratic primary with 37.8% (7,120 votes) in a seven-candidate field and is on the November 3, 2026 general-election ballot. The District F seat is open: Ballotpedia lists no incumbent in this race.
Why I’m Running
Yan says she is running for Clark County Commission District F because the status quo is no longer delivering for working families in Southern Nevada. Her campaign asks what the Las Vegas Valley should look like over the next 20 years, and she frames her vision as a region known not only for tourism but for quality of life — affordability, smart growth, infrastructure, and taking care of the people who live here. She says she refuses corporate and corporate PAC money so the office stays accountable to residents.
